We're excited to be able to return one of the hottest new swing bands on the Westcoast - Josh Collazo's Jazzboree!
Josh Collazo is widely regarded as one of the finest jazz/swing drummers in the world and performs regularly with bands led by the most popular band leaders in Southern California including Jonathan Stout, Dave Stuckey and Carl Sonny Leyland. In addition to drumming, Josh writes and arranges original jazz compositions for his previous group Candy Jacket Jazz Band and now Josh Collazo's Jazzboree.
The band is a who's who of West Coast Jazz/ Swing musicians including:
Carl Sonny Leyland. Marc Caparone, Nate Ketner, Jonathan Doyle, Sam Rocha, Riley Baker.
Outside of his jazz drumming career, Josh has also been a member of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros since 2007. The group accepted their first Grammy in 2013 for the long-form video documentary- Big Easy Express - winning alongside their friends, Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show. Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros' 2009 hit single, "Home", is certified platinum, selling over 1 million copies, and the debut album, "Up From Below", was recently certified gold.
