Getting Here

The California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV) provides commerical air travel to Eureka and is currently serviced by United Airlines. Beginning April 2016, PenAir will start service to ACV. Nearby airports include: Del Norte County Regional Airport (CEC) in Crescent City, about a one hour drive north; Rogue Valley International Medford Airport (MFR), a 3.5 hour drive from southern Oregon; Redding Municipal Airport (RDD) in Redding, CA (3 hour drive east): Charles M. Schultz Sonoma County Airport (STS) near Santa Rosa (4 hour drive south); SFO in San Francisco (6 hour drive south); and the Sacramento International Airport (SMF), about a 5.5 hour drive..

Eureka sits in the center of some of the most spectacular scenery in the country.  Before or after the Music Festival take some time to explore the outdoor paradise that is the Humboldt Redwoods and Redwood Coast. 


Humboldt County is home to the world's tallest trees with the most acreage of primal old-growth redwoods. The largest and best redwood parks are here and include Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek Redwoods and Humboldt Redwoods State Park, Drive thru Trees and the most accessible and scenic trails and driving tours.  Combined with over 100 miles of achingly beautiful California coastline, with everything from wide sandy beaches to rocky tidepools and rugged cliffs, the redwood forests of Humboldt County provide an outdoor playground that is second to none.
